About the artist

My name is Lane Womack, oh where to begin. Ever since I can remember I have been an adventurous soul, at just 8 years old my parents would let me ride my bike to school without supervision (it was only 5 blocks). My eye for cinema came from a time I can remember flying downhill on my bike around the age of 10, wind in my hair, the sun on my face, I knew that I wanted to share this feeling with my friends. No moment is like another, every single second you experience a new moment, those moments when captured last a lifetime. My POV is the one thing that separates me from another, no other person will experience life the exact way I do, so this is why I share it.

Early on, I would be outside every second there was daylight, I would make forts in my backyard, I would fish in Waller Creek by UT Austin just to kiss a perch and release it, I would catch snakes with my bare hands, and I was involved in just about every sport my school or outside organization would offer. At the age of 14, I picked up my first Go-Pro. I would film myself snowboarding, wakeboarding, golfing, make stupid vlog videos like I was famous, climbing mountains, hiking, you name it. I always had a passion for sharing my view on the world. I would take photos of animals, landscapes, trees, clouds, sunsets and really anything I could photograph or shoot a video of. I would do recap videos that no one asked for of short snowboard trips and vacations to the beach. By 17 years old my parents divorced, I moved out of the house and shipped myself back to Austin, TX. I took classes at Austin community college and enrolled in several organizations at the University of Texas in Austin. At 18 I started working in commercial insurance and right off the bat made enough money to put myself through school that year, paying for rent, bills, living and ended up securing my BBA in Marketing in 2017. To this day I still work in Commercial Insurance and have big goals for myself in the business world, check out my linked-in for more information there.

Throughout my time in Austin I have sent myself on a million little journeys around the world in pursuit of this little thing called LIVING. I would scrape up every dime I had to book a flight to some remote location just to see it with my own eyes. Although I have a great job, great security and am building my finances I knew there was more for me in this world than sitting at a desk for the rest of my life. My passion really kicked into play in 2020 when covid hit. I was in an office everyday 8-5pm selling my soul to cold-calling property owners and convincing them to let me quote their insurance. When COVID-19 hit the fan we were "stuck" at home, no more office. This concept was unfathomable. You are telling me I can do the same amount of work from my bedroom in half the amount of time? This is where the adventure really started. Every single day in between calls, in between emails and after work hours I would spent every waking second of my time pursuing this little voice inside my head that just kept saying KEEP GOING. I knew that if I just say yes to everything that comes my way eventually I would find out what I truly love to do, make art. Whether it's taking photos, filming videos, editing, sound, lighting, posting, sharing and experiencing, I would do it all.

Around September of 2020, my girlfriend and I took an RV from Yosemite National Park all the way to the tip of Washington up the 101 PCH and back down through the middle of Washington, Oregon and California. We saw 5 national parks, hiked over 140 miles, saw waterfalls, beaches, wildlife, you name it. We took 30 days working remotely in between hikes to experience life. This was the best 30 days of my life. Soon after this trip I started to get a name for myself in the media game, started filming weddings, events, headshots and commercials for boat companies like Nautique, Mastercraft, Centurion, Blu-surf wake, E-Foils, Lift Foils, Jet Pilot just to name a few. I slowly took flight into the video and photo world catching opportunities at music festivals like Austin City Limits, various concerts, music videos, short films and really any work of art that came my way. 2021-2024 I have now worked for brands like Sports Illistrated, Cash App, Joe Rogan, ACL, ESPN, The Pivot, Post Malone and numerous others. I am forever learning in this industry and am forever chasing my hero. So I will leave you with this, "You see every day, every week, every year of my life my hero is always 10 years away. I'm never gonna be my hero, I'll never attain that. I know I'm not and that's just fine with me because that keeps me with somebody to keep on chasing. So, to any of us, whatever those things are, whatever it is we look up to, whatever it is we look forward to, and whoever it is we're chasing, to that I say 'Amen.' To that I say, 'Alright, alright, alright.' And to that I say 'Just keep living." -MM
